Terms of Service

Last updated 14 October 2026

These terms cover the Glyde website and our optional online services: signing in with Cirkle ID, sync and the Szimon assistant. The browser software itself is covered by the Terms of Use. The two work together.

1. Who we are

The services are run by Cirkle Development Group (teamcirkle.co.uk), an online organisation ("we", "us"). Contact us at legal@teamcirkle.co.uk or info@teamcirkle.co.uk.

2. Who can use the services

3. What you can do

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the services for your own use, as long as you follow these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Optional and changing features

Sync and the Szimon assistant are optional. Features may be added, changed or removed, and some are marked "planned" because they are not available yet. We will give reasonable notice before we remove something you rely on, unless we have to act sooner for security or legal reasons.

5. The Szimon assistant

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create or enter. You give us permission to process it only as needed to run the service for you, for example to store your synced data or send your message to the assistant. Our Privacy Policy explains how.

7. Our content and branding

The Glyde name, logo and website design belong to us and are not covered by any open source licence. See Open Source and Trademarks.

8. Third party services

Some features depend on services we do not control, such as Google Search. Their own terms apply, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the services running but we do not promise they will always be available or free of errors.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using the services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or that puts others or the service at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first.

11. Our responsibility to you

The services are provided "as is". We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give notice of any important change before it takes effect. If you carry on using the services afterwards, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using the services.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
